My first trip alone

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Tomorrow i go to Vancouver for a few days, by myself. I am not guessing it will be too much fun. It is work related and I have a terrible cold on top of feeling pregnant. Maybe some shopping will cheer me up. Don’t worry Miguel, I won’t go too crazy and yes, I’ll bring you back a surprise. This is what I’ll miss

1st day of my new job!

Monday, September 15th, 2008

I have a huge headache today. It is the first day of my new job. Total information overload. I second guessed my decision to give up nursing all day. I hope that tomorrow is a better day. 144 kilometers to think it all over. On a brighter much happier note, I am 8 weeks today.

Adventures in Pregnancy

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

It seems that being pregnant brings out the adventurer in me. When I was 5 months pregnant with Xavier I hiked the side of a mountain and at 6 months I went duck hunting. Today I went looking for salamanders with my family and Peter Freeman. Well, not that I did much looking. I don’t enjoy digging around old logs but it was nice to be out in the woods.

Different

Friday, September 5th, 2008

They say that every pregnancy is different and I definitely believe it. I have all day sickness. Doesn’t matter what time of the day it is I am nauseous. Yesterday, the doctor gave me some pills to take but unfortunately I am experiencing the side effects. Dizziness and drowsiness. Caught between a rock and a hard place. Oh well, side effects wear away gradually and hopefully so will the all day sickness.

Xavier is excited, even though he thinks those are drumsticks. “That ain’t no etch-a-sketch. This is one doodle that can’t be un-did, homeskillet.”
